Director

Videographer

Producer

Editor

I am a Film and Performing Arts student at University Of Alaska, Fairbanks. I have worked on projects which are my own and also for different companies such as Aurora In Alaska, Grayling Media, and also films for my school.

Original Music Video

This is a music video that I directed, edited, and produced. I also wrote and sang the song.

Short Film

“The Anatomy Of Sound,” is a short film that I worked on for my school.

Directed, and written by one of my fellow classmates, my professor produced this short film with the help of other film students such as myself. I was 1st Camera Assistant in the production crew and editor, music contributor, audio engineer, and color corrector in the post production process.

Media Project

This is a short media post I created for a soccer league called IPA (“Interior Pickup Association.”)

I shot this video on my iphone in cinematography mode and the quality turned out better than I expected. After fixing the color up in my editing process I added some trending music effects to it to make the video relevant to the targeted audience.

Company Projects

Here are some media posts and videos that I’ve done for “Aurora In Alaska” which is the number one northern lights tour company in Fairbanks.

At “Aurora In Alaska”, I edit that the photos that the night time tour guide photographers take in adobe lightroom, and I create marketing videos for the company’s social media posts. I am also one of the tour guide photographers.

Grayling Media

“Grayling Media” has over 15 years of experience shooting indie feature films and award winning tv shows.

At “Grayling Media” I am a videographer and editor for free event lectures that are hosted by University Of Alaska.

Personal Short Film

In this short film I wanted to put my cinematography and instinctive shooting skills to practice. With the help of my parents, in this short comedic short film, I randomly started taking small short videos of my parents while we were going on a short walk on a trail in Oregon that led to a beach. Then I began to grab some b-roll footage and just following my parents around almost treating it like a documentary.

I really hadn’t thought through what I was planning on doing with the footage I got but that’s the fun part of the editing process because most of the time you can always find a way to put things together even when you didn't t expect it. So this random documentary I took of my parents turned into a funny mockumentary short film.

My Story

I was born in Ethiopia, Africa and I lived there for six years before I got adopted by a family in Fairbanks, Alaska. After attending highschool for three and a half years and covid came around. I dropped out of high school, which I regret till this day. But luckily enough I was able to get my G.E.D and got accepted at California Baptist University, where I attended for a year. However, after reflecting on the high cost of three more years at CBU, my family and I decided that it would be best for me to stay in Fairbanks, and attend the University Of Alaska, Fairbanks. Currently I am still in college with one semester to go before graduating with my BA in Film and Performing Arts, with a minor in Journalism, emphasis on science and the environment.

My goal in the future is to be a film director and to hopefully have a movie of my own. I do write scripts with my fellow film students and friends, and we are currently working on a project now.

Last one is a multi cam cut project. Given the clips from a film (Camera A and Camera B) I edited together a dialogue scene
